The kids had their last swim meet this past Saturday & they both ROCKED!!! This morning was the Swim Team Party...they gave out funny awards & the kids enjoyed some free swim...no laps(last week at practice the kids had 1 hr to swim as many laps as they could...Mads swam 20 laps & Austin swam 30 laps)!!!

Mads got the MOST INTIMIDATING LOOK award...we all know Mads can give some brutal looks!Austin got BEST BREASTSTROKE & BACKSTROKE award...go Austin!

We showed up at the pool this morning for swim practice & this is what was in the pool!

Austin had off-ice training Friday morning at a park in Round Rock and perched up on the hill for the kids to see was Rockin Ranch Swim Park...well since we are in Texas & after about 11AM all that you can do outside is swim...that's what we did! Well, that is what they did, I worked on my tan:)

4 months to go!!!

Ok, I'm not big on the whole countdown thing BUT we have made it 8 months & only have 4 months left before Jamie comes home!!!

Even though my husband is in Iraq...he still takes the time to send me flowers when I am having a tough week!

In his defense....after their orthodontist appointments we went to get ice cream (like we do after every ortho appt) BUT the kids had just had their expanders put in & it took them almost 30 minutes to eat their ice cream!!! We were then running late for my nail appt & Austin was forced to go...before I knew it the little ladies had him in a massage chair & were giving him a pedicure.

At least he didn't get a color!!!

Look for us at the 2020 Summer Olympics!

Well, maybe not but we are making waves on our 2008 Summer Swim Team!!

Austin swam the breast stroke (placed 2nd), backstroke (placed 1st) and the 50 freestyle(placed 3rd)...for his relay he swam with the older kids in the 200 Freestyle relay (each leg has to swim 50)...they took 1st! The best part was the backstroke...this usually is Madison's best event but the coaches got confused & entered Austin in the backstroke & Mads in the butterfly (usually Austin's best event)...anyway Austin was not excited about doing the backstroke, he even wanted to scratch BUT I gave him the "it can only make you better" speech & he agreed to swim...next thing I know he is kicking booty & takes 1st place!!! This from the kid that caused swim practice to be cancelled last year because he was swimming back stroke, swallowed too much H2O & lost his breakfast!

Mads also had a great meet!!! She moved up a age group this year...7&8 yr olds and is doing AWESOME for being on e of the younger ones!!! She swam freestyle (placed 5th), breast stroke (placed 8th) & the butterfly (placed 6th)...for her relay she swam the 100 freestyle and they placed 2nd!!!

Fun at the Lake!!

We spent the 4th of July weekend at Mimi & Poppi's lake Condo.

We watched LOTS & LOTS of fireworks that were shot off over the lake & the kids went out for the first time EVER on the boat.

The kids used one word to describe the weekend & the fun times on the lake...SWEET!!!
